China water resources and Hydropower Publishing Group Co., Ltd. is a central level professional technology publishing and media group managed directly under the Ministry of water resources. Its predecessor, China water resources and Hydropower Publishing House, was founded on New Year's day in 1956. In 1993, it was named as one of the first batch of "National excellent book publishing units" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the press and publication administration. In 1998, it won the title of "National Excellent Publishing House" again, and in 2015, it won the title of "national excellent publishing unit". In 2017, it won the "advanced publishing unit award of China publishing government award".
