Marszalek Publishing Group, Poland









Marszałek Publishing Group was founded in 1990 in Toruń. In a short time it has become the largest and leading Polish publishing house promoting scientific and popular science literature, poetry and fiction. It publishes around 500 new titles each year.

 

Marszałek Publishing Group consists of ten subjects: Adam Marszałek Publishing House, Time Marszałek Group, Science Publishing GRADO, Marszałek Development & Press, Asia- Pacific Society, Czesław Mojsiewicz Foundation for Supporting International Cooperation, Eastern Studies Center, Helvetica Publishing House, Arcus Publishing and Baltija Publishing.

Among MPG’s authors there are scholars, writers and poets from Poland and other countries, particularly China. To meet international expectations MPG publishes increasingly more books in foreign languages, including English, Chinese, Russian, French, Ukrainian, Italian, Norwegian and Macedonian. MPG also publishes a growing number of bilingual positions which is a novelty on the Polish market. MPG and its books were many times awarded.
 

Particularly, it should be emphasized that Marszałek Publishing Group undertakes tremendous efforts for cooperation with Chinese publishers. Among the most important partners of MPG there are China Renmin University Press, Anhui Publishing Group, Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, China Social Sciences Press, East China Normal University Press, Jiangxi People’s Publishing House, Foreign Languages Press, New World Press and Research Press. Also, MPG started publishing Polish books on the Chinese market thanks to the cooperation with China Renmin University Press and Peking University Publishing House. In recognition of the enormous role that MPG has played in strengthening Sino-Polish cultural relations, the founder and long-standing President Adam Marszałek was granted the title of foreign expert in the publishing market awarded by the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China.
 

MPG organizes book exhibitions which promote Polish and Chinese culture in its Gallery 44, various diplomatic posts and cultural institutions of the numerous countries it cooperates with.
 

Apart from promoting Polish and Chinese culture, Marszałek Publishing Group also cooperates with prominent Polish academic centers such as Gdansk Higher School of Humanities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Jagiellonian University in Cracov, and many other recognized universities. Moreover, MPG tightly cooperates with a variety of academic institutions.
 

MPG publishes over 20 scientific and popular science journals. Most of them have the highest journal scores, which is reflected in their positions in a number of prestigious rankings, such as the Philadelphia List and the ERIH list.
