Conference summary:

From April 8 to 10, 2005, the third China Private Book Industry Development Summit Forum opened in Beijing as scheduled. After three years, the forum has become an important part of the private book industry. The focus of this forum goes deep into the problems of internal management and sustainable development of private book industry. This conference will introduce, elaborate, analyze and discuss the latest policies and trends of national non-public economic development, the situation and choices faced by China's private book industry, how to "restructure" the private book industry, how to establish a modern enterprise system, and how to adjust the tax and financing policies of the private book industry.
 

At the meeting, a number of relevant leaders and experts made a detailed explanation on the state's macro policy for the development of private book industry, the adjustment trend of the state's non-public economic financing policy, the tax policy of private book industry and other relevant policies. A number of outstanding enterprise representatives put forward reasonable suggestions on the development trend of private book industry in combination with the development of their own enterprises. At the same time, the National Chamber of Commerce and Private Book Industry & Social Science Literature and Art Book Consortium, Private Book Industry Teaching Auxiliary Book Publication Consortium, private book industry group with the total publication right and other organizations made an introduction to their own situations at the meeting respectively. The theme of private book industry development set in 2005 is "seize the opportunity, scale up and seek for development".
