The 6th China Private Book Industry Development Summit Forum（2009 · Beijing）
Conference summary:
From April 16 to 18, 2009, the Sixth China Private Book Industry Development Summit Forum was held. With the purpose of "Emancipating the mind, innovating the system, pursuing mutual benefit and common development". The theme of this forum is to integrate social resources and promote industrial development. At present, China's publishing industry is facing a very severe reality, the external is not only affected by the economic crisis, but also faced with the strong impact of the Internet and multimedia, because of its own institutional constraints, the internal market chaos and internal friction increase. The whole industry is confronted with domestic and foreign troubles and facing many difficulties. It is urgent for the industry to unite, strengthen cooperation, exchange, and seek for common development. The government, state-owned publishing organizations and private enterprises must perform their respective duties, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and put efforts to make China's publishing industry bigger and stronger. This meeting focuses on the cooperation between state-owned and private book industry.
In addition, the forum held a national seminar on the development of private newspaper industry for the first time. Participants of this forum not only include book publishing enterprises, but also newspaper enterprises. The depth and breadth of participants have been improved.
