Conference summary:
From September 19 to 20, 2010, the seventh China Private Book Industry Development Summit Forum was held. At the beginning of 2010, the General Administration of Press and Publication issued the "No.1 Document" guiding opinions on further promoting the development of press and publication industry, which clearly stated: guiding and regulating the orderly entry of non-public capital into the press and publication industry, liberating and developing the emerging cultural productivity. On the basis of affirming that non-public publishing studios are an important part of the press and publishing industry, this document puts forward more specific fields and ways for non-public cultural enterprises to enter the press and publishing industry, and encourages non-public cultural enterprises to develop overseas press and publishing market.
According to the information released by the General Administration of Press and Publication, the overall revenue of China's digital publishing industry jumped to 79.94 billion yuan in 2009, exceeding the output value of traditional book publishing industry for the first time. The digital publishing complex project has been listed in the outline of the national "Eleventh Five Year Plan" for cultural development. The digital transformation of the whole press and publishing industry is in progress, and a series of major digital publishing projects are being implemented. China's digital publishing is facing the strategic opportunity of accelerating development, and a new technological revolution in the press and publishing industry is coming.
The reform is deepening, the publishing industry is restructuring rapidly and technology is fast developing . In order to make the management departments which are in charge of China's private book industry learn the national policies and understand the development trend of the publishing industry and high-tech, the theme of this forum is "standing upon the history, understanding the overall situation of development", and "digitization" is undoubtedly the focus of the forum.
