The 14th China Private Book Industry Development Summit Forum（2017 · Xi'an）
Conference Summary:
In 2017, the 14th private book industry summit forum was successfully held in Xi'an. The theme of this forum is "Cross-border integration, innovative development".
The outline of the “13th Five year plan” puts forward that to build a cultural power, we should realize the goal that cultural industry becomes the pillar industry of national economy. The work report of the State Council government points out that we should better stimulate the vitality of non-public economy, greatly relax market access, eliminate various hidden barriers, encourage private enterprises to expand investment and participate in the reform of state-owned enterprises, and be equal in terms of project approval, financing services, fiscal and tax policies, land use, etc. In 2016, the regulations on the management of online publishing services came into effect, and private capital participated in online publishing with clear basis, the measures for the implementation of the reform on the separation of book production and publishing was also promulgated last year, in the same year, the Ministry of Propaganda of the People's Republic of China, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio and Television, the development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of finance also formulated development policies to support physical bookstores.
As an important force of publication market, private book industry has its own vitality and enthusiasm, which will become the participant and promoter of building a cultural power during the 13th Five Year Plan period. Private book industry will usher in a new round of development opportunities.
