On December 21, 2023, the Exchange Seminar on Luliang University's Proposed Cooperation Project with the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and the Creation of the Sino-Russian Art Education Cooperation Alliance was held at Luliang University. The meeting was organized by International Affairs Working Commitee on Cultural Publishing Coorperation of China Publication and Promotion Association. Li Dawei, Director of the International Affairs Working Committee on Cultural and Publishing Cooperation of China Publication and Promotion Association, Wang Sanhu, Vice President of Luliang University, Li Yueping, Director of Cooperation and Exchange Office of Luliang University, Zhang Yunqi, Dean of the Department of Art, Qiao Zhengmin, former Director of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of Lishi District, and other participants attended the meeting, which was presided over by Li Yueping.
Wang Sanhu, Vice President of Luliang University, firstly expressed his warm welcome and thanks to the guests. He introduced the development and achievements of Luliang University over the past forty years and the subsequent goals of running the school. He said that in recent years, Luliang University had emphasized on the cultivation of students' ability and skill, and at the same time strengthened the improvement of their scientific research level. Luliang University is the only institution in Shanxi Province that has been approved for "5G+Wisdom Mine Education".
The alumni of Luliang University are all over the country and many other countries in the world. The school will launch the preparation work of the alumni association to strengthen the connection between the school and the alumni and help the school develop rapidly and in high quality.
Director Li Dawei said that Luliang city is a famous area with a long revolutionary history, and it is necessary to carry out the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's visit to Shanxi, vigorously carry forward the red spirit, and seize the opportunity to promote the development, so as to enable Luliang University to make breakthroughs in certain fields and rank among the international advanced ranks. the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture is one of the world's four major art schools, and has made important contributions to the world's art career. In recent years, Luliang University has developed greatly, and on the basis of its goal of becoming a famous school in western Shanxi province, it strives to move towards domestic fame in the field of fine arts. In view of the relevant provisions and the goal of promoting cooperation on the ground, Luliang University and the the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture can first carry out a project of single-item cooperation, short-term exchanges, starting from the point, and formulate a long-term plan.
During the meeting, the guests conducted research, consultation and discussion on the mode of exchange between Luliang Universoity and the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Luliang University side said that the teachers and students of the school had already cooperated with some foreign universities. The school is eager to strengthen exchanges between China and Russia in the field of art, and the guests of the International Affairs Working Commitee expressed their full support and assistance in the cooperation between the two schools' programs.
Vice President Wang Sanhu summarized the meeting and thanked for the strong support of International Affairs Working Commitee on behalf of the Party Committee of Luliang University and all the teachers and students. He said that the school will study the exchange matters in depth. They will seize the opportunity of international exchange and cooperation , combined with the their foreign cooperation approaches over the years, introduce an appropriate exchange programs for the development of Luliang University to make contributions to the country's art education.
Before the meeting was held, Director Li Dawei and his team visited the "Luliang Spirit Education Exhibition" and went to the "Li Danchu Academic Research Center" to have a study, remember and commemorate him.
